VALERIE HOGAN, PRESIDENT

Valerie Hogan has more than 20 years of experience serving nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and small businesses. She specializes in strategic planning and the implementation services that turn vision into reality. Ms. Hogan has experience in a variety of fields including organizational development, association management, service delivery, fundraising, retail management, financial management, and training programs.

Ms. Hogan is former President of the Association of Consultants to Nonprofits, which provides professional development, marketing opportunities and collegiality for more than 100 consultants in the Chicago metropolitan area. She has chaired various committees including the Program Committee, Marketing Committee and E-Committee, and particpated on other committees and task forces.

Ms. Hogan also served on United Way's Community Impact Panel, which was responsible for reviewing applications, conducting site visits, and making funding recommendations to the Chicago Council.

Nonprofit Management
Prior to becoming a consultant, Ms. Hogan acquired fifteen years of nonprofit management experience including former positions as Executive Director of the Illinois Alliance for Aging, General Manager of Childs Play Touring Theatre, and Assistant Regional Director of an international environmental organization.

Computer Systems Experience
Ms. Hogan has a strong data processing background. As a consultant, she has evaluated software, managed conversion efforts, implemented computer systems and provided software training for businesses, government agencies and nonprofit organizations. She was also instrumental in the development of five computer learning centers for older adults.

As the former Vice President of Operations for Rosebud Software Systems, Ms. Hogan was responsible for client managment, software testing, user documentation, and technical support. She also spent four years as a Management Systems Specialist for the City of Chicago's Office of Budget and Management.
